On Saturday evening, 10 December, the 500,000th visitor to Zillion was showered with flowers, or rather a veritable shower of money, at Kinepolis Antwerp. Barely six weeks after its release, Robin Pront’s film about Frank Verstraeten and his legendary discotheque is still at the top of the national Box Office list and, with its 500,000 visitors, is already among the top 20 Best Flemish films. The Zillion fans who were sitting in the largest theatre at Kinepolis Antwerp on Saturday evening were quite surprised when Ilse De Graaf (25) from Lommel was taken out of the theatre by none other than Matteo Simoni and Jonas Vermeulen.

As a die-hard fan, she came to see the film for the fourth time last night with her boyfriend Robby Assenberg (27), and they were both ecstatic. They even sold their tickets for Thunderdome in Utrecht that same evening because they heard that something special was going to happen at Kinepolis Antwerp.” We first heard about Zillion on the news and thought it would be fun to discover Zillion at the cinema. Since that first time, Zillion, the hype, has completely captivated us, both the story behind it and the music. And the actors, Matteo & Jonas, are also great!

In true Zillion style, the entire theatre was immediately immersed in Zillion style. Zillion resident DJ Sven Lanvin pulled out all the stops for a small afterparty with a money shower. And as if that wasn’t Zillion enough, to the great surprise of the visitors, there were also winning “Frank Verstraeten” tickets that could be exchanged for Zillion gifts.
